Power Supply Methods: Users can supply power to this usb cable tester via a CR2032 lithium cell or a Vin cable (3-12V).（a CR2032 lithium cell is offered.） Note: You should notice the correct lithium cell installation method, and the two little metal splinters should be above the cell lithium, otherwise, the lithium cell will not be able to supply power. Don't forget to remove the insulating tab from underneathe the battery. The ID light on indicates that both ends of the USB cable are connected to the ID signal, indicating that the data cable has OTG function. It works great except the lightning connector is a little iffy. 5 stars if you ignore the lightning port...4 stars including it...1 star if you're buying it just to test lightning cables (don't)...for the price, it's well worth it just for testing all the USB variants...Also will test thunderbolt 4 cables (every led lights up one side...and if you flip the connector it'll flip to the other side....all pins are connected on a TB4 cable btw)...obviously won't tell you if it's 20 or 40gbps...but at least you know all pins have continuity...very cool.My only reservation is I think they could have used higher quality ports...the PCB and the soldering and construction is all 10/10...but the ports feel a little on the cheap side; time will tell if that's really an issue....
