This cord is perfect for charging/data and while I would give it a perfect 5 stars as it was a 5 star product for me I cannot because some of you out there will not find it perfect. I am a case guy, I have went through tons of cases for my iPhone 5 and I'm sure plenty of you out there know why. With the cases I use currently this cord doesn't cause any problems but for some of you it will because of Apple. Apple tells lightning accessory makers how they make their lightning products so Belkin has no say in this, but the lightning part that plugs into the iPhone 5 is a little bigger, not the plug itself but the black piece holding it. This means that all those cases that are cutout perfectly around the charging hole will NOT work with this product. Sad but true. Otherwise this cord is longer and cheaper than Apple's own cable and if you really want a bargain the
