So far, it works perfectly and charges smoothly. It is recognized by my iPad mini as an official cable, so there is no message prompt about an uncertified cable that some off-brand cables give. The build quality is similar (if not stronger) than the apple version of the lightning cable. This particular cable is a foot longer than the original, I believe... so that's a plus.This cable should be a great replacement option if your apple cable stops working (as it should after about a year of normal use...).Note** This review is after about a weekend of frequent use.
