We saw a review saying the 1.5' cable worked for Samsung even Samsung manual stated that its TV might not work with USB extension cable. We have same reason to purchase this cable because it is hard to reach the USB port when TV is mounted. We purchased 3' cable, just feel 1.5' could be still too short.The cable works well with our Samsung TV. It does not have issue to detect the USB drive and could show the contents in USB well.As other review mentioned, this cable has tight fit to the USB port. You do need to push a bit harder to plug it in. Took one star off because of this.
