Do you like staying in a hotel and having to put your phone halfway across the room because THAT is where the outlets are? Neither do I. This cable is an impressive 3 meters long -- that's roughly 9 feet for those who don't speak metric. Yes, NINE FEET LONG. Sure, that's way overkill for my use at home, but it is perfect for traveling: you can sit in a chair at the airport while charging your phone that is plugged into a wall outlet... nine feet away :)As for durability, this cable is awesome. I've been through a lot of USB/Lightning cables, but have never lost one. Rather, they fall apart and stop working before I am through with them. The cable itself is sturdy, but the "boots" at the connection ends are even more impressive. This is where my cables typically degrade, regardless of the care I show them.Frankly, this thing is probably too LARGE to lose, but I would be heartbroken if I spent this much and lost it. I think it will be worth the cost overall as I foresee it outliving tens of "disposable" cables. So far, it has a happy home in my backpack and comes out to play whenever I go on the road, which is pretty often.
